I had booked two nights through Booking.com, with a cancellation fee for the full amount. I had to cancel early for family health reasons, so we asked the hotel through Booking.com if they could return at least part of the payment, or perhaps offer a voucher for a future visit. They declined the request. When I then tried to contact them myself by phone and WhatsApp, they blocked me without replying. It was a terrible experience, especially on a human level.

The furnishings look good in the photos, but there are real issues once you're there. The place was very dirty and hadn't been cleaned after the last guest. The landlord was unfriendly and answered our suggestions with, “I'm glad you're not coming back.” The lights were harshly bright and spoiled the atmosphere, and the chairs were extremely uncomfortable.

The location and the view are the two reasons I'd give Adele Beppe any stars. But you can only see the view from a few spots, and then only while standing, because the hedges and bushes have grown too high. The pool looked full, but the pumps and filters weren't running, there were no umbrellas, and the loungers couldn't be used. Old artificial turf has been laid in places, with trees and bushes already growing through it. Inside, the living room was impractical. There were no pots, just cast iron pans that don't work on the induction cooktop. The floodlights in every room were painfully bright. The apartment was extremely dirty when we arrived, with the basic cleaning either skipped or done very carelessly. We couldn't properly clean it ourselves because the vacuum cleaner was too disgusting to use. The 40-year-old toilet and bidet were revolting, and the iron terrace chairs were so uncomfortable we didn't want to sit in them for long. One thing we did like was the fantastic refrigerator with freezer compartment. Still, the stay costs far too much for what you get. A view isn't enough to make us come back.

We loved the harbor view, and having the pool right outside the room was handy. The surprise was the €150 security deposit, which hadn't been mentioned beforehand. Without cash on us, it would've been a real hassle.
