I Valloni

Finding the place took some effort, but that was part of the adventure. The studio is lovely, set in a charming old village, with stunning views and very friendly locals. A short walk away there's a sweet little trattoria for coffee and pastries.

Mario was so kind and helpful when our car had a problem, and took care of us straight away. Our small apartment was lovely, with lots of exposed stone, and our dog could roam freely in the garden. Highly recommended. Mrs. Marina at reception was the best.

Our first-floor apartment had a sea view and plenty of lovely stone, though it felt a bit dated. A golden retriever can't manage the fairly steep stairs to the upstairs bedroom, so this one isn't a good fit if you have a dog. Since it was a quiet weekend in March, we contacted the owner and he kindly moved us to a ground-floor apartment. That one was excellent and very quaint.

The shared garden is generous in size, with a barbecue, and parking is close by. The apartment itself is spacious, cool, charmingly stone-built, and simply furnished. Everything you need is within easy reach. I stayed at I Valloni in mid-August, on a hillside in a small village where quiet and nature are all around.
