Leonardo Resort

What a peaceful little oasis in Liguria. The resort has a unique, almost magical atmosphere, with lovely gardens, a pool, and lots of parking. Our apartment was huge and fully equipped. The terraces and breakfast area are nicely decorated, and breakfast was the highlight, especially the best coffee I've ever tasted, plus cheese and homemade cakes. Beaches, restaurants, and a supermarket are all a short walk away, and Porto Maurizio's old town is about a 20-minute walk. Thanks to Valerio and all his staff!

The sea views and immaculate pool were wonderful, and the dry stone walls around most of the property were especially stunning. The whole hotel was immaculate and beautifully built, and the staff were brilliant. After ten days travelling through Italy, this was a superb find. Some of the other hotels we stayed in could take it as an example of how things should be done.

What made our stay at Leonardo Resort memorable was how genuinely cared for and welcome we felt. Everyone was attentive, from the reception team helping us book a place at the beach and suggesting nice spots to visit, to the people looking after meals. Breakfast was gorgeous, with all the cakes made fresh each day. Dinner, served three times a week, was thoughtfully prepared with very fresh ingredients and respect for local food traditions. That kind of genuine hospitality feels rare these days. The modern hotel has spacious, comfortable rooms and a lovely pool amid the garden. We had an awesome time and will certainly come back :)

The staff really paid attention, especially at breakfast. By the second morning, they remembered which coffee I liked without me having to ask. The pool was one of the cleanest I've seen on holiday, and the rooms and outdoor areas were all very clean and well kept. Breakfast was good, with excellent pies and cakes, fruit, and superb cappuccino, though I did miss warm options like scrambled eggs and sausages. Try the bar cocktails in the afternoon, they won't let you down. Restaurants are about 500 m away, an easy walk, and there's a supermarket and petrol station nearby. Plenty of free parking, so no need to worry about the car.
