The setting is spectacular, with a beautiful house surrounded by greenery. But the experience felt short on care and passion, which I think are essential in this kind of work. Maybe my expectations are shaped by 37 years in tourism, but this didn't meet them. The owner was polite but cold, and didn't even introduce himself. Small touches could have made arrival much more welcoming. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms, though these were displayed for sale in the breakfast room. The minibar was completely empty, not even a bottle of water. Dinner was included, but felt like a canteen meal, served on rectangles of wrapping paper instead of tablecloths. There wasn't even a small appetizer. Two olives and a bruschetta would have been enough. Dessert was also lacking, and the wine was poor, even the paid wine. I'd understand more if there were a wine list and a choice, but not for a modest half-liter of house wine that was so bad. What a shame. A little more care, along with an extra smile, could have made the stay enjoyable. As it was, those small things will lead us to choose and recommend somewhere else next time.
