This was the worst stay of my life. At check-in, the reception was closed, so we had to search the grounds for staff. We found someone at the restaurant and asked about checking in. She led us to reception, told us only that we needed to leave a 10 euro deposit for the air-conditioning remote, then took us to our room. She knew the room number but not where it was, so we wandered past nearly every room trying to find it. We were told check-out was at 11.00 on the booking site, and nobody gave us a different time at check-in. At 10.24 a woman banged loudly on our door and shouted at us to leave. My boyfriend tried to explain what the site said, but she kept yelling, “just leave now”. The owner then sent a message through the booking site threatening us over the possibility of a bad review, without apologizing for how we were treated. He said in that message that he had “even” offered free wifi, but there was no connection in our room. When my boyfriend told him, he took him to the router and said, “see there’s a wifi”. He also called me rude because I didn't smile and thank them at checkout, after we'd been shouted at to leave and still hadn't received an apology when we explained that staff hadn't given us the right check-out time. When I complained about reception, the owner's response was that they are a 3 stars hotel, so they can't have someone waiting at reception 24 hours, and that waiting 10 minutes isn't a crime. We waited almost 20 minutes and wouldn't have checked in at all if we hadn't searched the grounds ourselves. His reply had no apology, just excuses and blame. The other bad reviews here were true. We were skeptical because the reviews are so mixed, but trust them.

We spent four relaxing days surrounded by peaceful, welcoming nature, with plenty of room for the children to play and a lovely pool for them to jump into. The restaurant sits on a terrace overlooking Lake Varano, and the dishes were made with care. The wait staff were excellent. We also really appreciated how convenient the location was, just minutes from the sea. Great company, kind staff, and excellent food. I'd recommend it to everyone!

Our room was spacious and very clean, with a beautiful view, and the sunsets in the evening were fantastic. The road there isn't much to look at, but the view when you arrive makes up for it. There's a nice pool, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good, though the set menu felt a little overpriced. A few small things in the room could use attention: a drying rack for swimsuits, a Schuko outlet for the hairdryer, a shower mat, and bulbs in the bedside lamps. Franco's cooking, with the best of the local area, made every wish come true, and he was incredibly helpful. Daniela and Pasquale looked after us so well that the 30 children we brought for summer camp and the rest of us felt at home. The Agriturismo is set in Gargano countryside, with a playground and a beautiful woodland path up to the Etruscan Necropolis on Monte Civita. Between the sea, countryside, and food, it's a wonderful place to spend a holiday. The valley views are spectacular, and sunsets by the pool are enchanting. I guarantee it, Rocco Caputo.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a peaceful weekend among centuries-old olive trees, just a short walk from the Gargano coast. The big heated pool is another nice feature. It's a handy base for exploring the Gargano, northern Puglia, and Umbria. The sunsets over the sea are stunning, and the restaurant brings together quality and tradition. Highly recommended.
