We booked the B&B based on the photos and good reviews, but those seem to reflect the first-floor apartment. The ground-floor one looks completely different and much worse, so be careful about which one you get. Vera wasn’t nearly as friendly as we expected from the other ratings. We were supposed to prepare breakfast ourselves, but found packaged croissants and biscuits left open by the previous guests. There were also open jars of jam in the fridge. We passed on all of it and just had coffee. On arrival, they asked for 90 euros, although we’d agreed on 85 euros with the host, and the highest price shown in the B&B app was 70 euros. We arrived by bike late, so couldn’t change places. After we’d paid, Vera said we could look for another B&B if we didn’t like it. Very, very unfriendly. Never again. I can provide photos if anyone wants.

The owner Vera is very familiar, and the location is fantastic. Breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake.

B&B Il Gelsomino in Iseo felt like home as soon as I arrived. It’s welcoming, spotless, and very well cared for, with a calm, warm atmosphere. The location also makes it easy to explore the lake and nearby area. Vera, the owner, was wonderful, always available and attentive to what guests need. Her son Vlad was just as lovely, friendly, kind, and welcoming. I even went out for a beer with him one evening, and sharing those genuine moments made my stay even better. This was more than just somewhere to sleep. I’d recommend it to everyone for the hospitality, smiles, and wonderful people.
