It was okay.

A lovely place.

I want to compliment the Beauty Spa, but the rest of my stay was awful. When I arrived on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 2:10 pm, the place was deserted and everything was closed. I called and was told someone would come. About ten minutes later, a young man and woman showed me that my room was number 7. They opened it and left without helping me carry my bags up to the second floor, which felt like an attic and was reached by nearly impossible stairs. The key wouldn't lock the room from inside, though I managed to get someone's attention and was given a spare. The room had a broken refrigerator inside a built-in cupboard, with the hot water boiler on the shelf above it. I wondered if that could possibly meet regulations. One bedside lamp was sitting on the floor instead of a table or nightstand, and its bulb was dead. The bathroom mirror light was out too, and the sink and bidet had no plugs to hold water. There were old cobwebs all over the walls and the wooden ceiling beams. Coming back at night, I had to walk about 100 meters from the car park to my room along a narrow path beside private garages, in complete darkness. There wasn't even a tiny light to show us where we were. There was no reception, naturally, and the doors that might have shortened the walk were all blocked. Breakfast was outside in the cool air, at rather dirty bamboo tables, with two small armchairs that looked as if they'd been picked up from a rubbish dump.

We came across this villa by chance, and we had a really lovely stay. I don't usually leave reviews, so I was surprised afterward to see its rating wasn't very high. The owner was incredibly helpful and seemed to handle everything alone, from the kitchen and spa to reception. The place is charming and definitely worth a visit. There are quite a few things inside and outside that need updating, and some small touches of tidiness would make it look better. Dinner had a limited menu, but what we ate was delicious. The casoncelli were so good I'd return just for them. It's a place I'd still recommend for a relaxing weekend without too many frills, with a homier feel than a typical wellness hotel. Bravo!
