La Torre Rossa

Ernesto’s dinner is a must, and he’s attentive and helpful throughout. We spent four nights at Torre Rossa for my wife’s birthday and came away feeling refreshed. The ancient tower dates from the 13th and 14th centuries and was once part of an olive oil mill and wine press, with a strong feeling that time has stood still there. Its position between Sperlonga and Gaeta makes it easy to enjoy both the quiet hills and the sea. Breakfast felt authentic, though there’s room to improve it, especially by adding savory choices, which are missing at the moment. It’s a magical place, and we’ll definitely return.

It’s just a few minutes by car from the sea, along a really scenic road. This charming old property in the hills between Sperlonga and Itri stays cool even in midsummer and is very quiet. Breakfast has a good selection, including homemade jams. Dinner is delicious and very reasonably priced, and the owner is extremely kind and helpful.

The old olive mill has been restored with care and attention to detail by the owner. We were warmly welcomed and looked after, and breakfast was excellent, with yogurt, fruit and homemade jams. The place is very well maintained and peaceful, set between mountains and sea. Grazie Ernesto, highly recommended!

Dinner was excellent, with top quality ingredients simply but skillfully prepared. Breakfast is served on a lovely patio, with hot drinks, juice, homemade jams and biscuits, fresh fruit and yogurt. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the place has charm, history and nature all around.
