Aquila Nera Di Tony

I picked the hotel above the restaurant because it’s close to the train station. The room was much bigger and more spacious than I expected, and everything was new. The mattress was the most comfortable I’ve had in Italy. The people were nice, and I ate there twice because the food was excellent. On the second day there wasn’t any hot water, so I couldn’t shower. Apparently there was a water problem. I still really liked the place otherwise. I meant to review it on Booking, but I missed the time limit, I guess. Sorry.

The seafood was fresh and delicious, and there was a good variety of dishes. We really enjoyed the menu. Aquila Nera Ristorante is in the heart of Ivrea and has been a local favorite for years, with friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and authentic Italian food. It can get pretty busy at peak times, so it’s a good idea to book ahead if you’d rather not wait for a table.

The house wines are outstanding, especially the white, and the fish dishes are great too. I especially like the pasta with seafood. Their pasta Norma is amazing, and the pizzas are great, especially Nonna Amalia. Ask for Carciofi instead of Mortadella. This is easily the best restaurant in Ivrea, and one of the better ones I’ve eaten at in italy. I’ve never been disappointed, and keep coming back.

Lovely food and amazing prices. We tried a few kinds of pasta and pizza, and everything was pretty tasty. No one speaks a word of English though :)
