Bellevue Hotel & Resort

The hotel is beautiful and has the potential to be perfect, but the service made our stay less welcoming than we hoped. At breakfast, we had to work to get staff's attention for coffee. When we had dinner dietary requests, the response was to tell us to have salad instead of looking for options on the menu. Sunbeds at the pool cost €10 per person, and a clean beach towel cost €5. At times we felt like imposters rather than guests, so for this price we can't really recommend the hotel right now.

It’s a very calm, special hotel with a great atmosphere, ideal for relaxing and enjoying time with your family. The pool is warmly heated, and the food is really good. It would be even more fun for families if there were a shaded spot where kids could play, perhaps in a corner of the garden where a ball game wouldn’t disturb anyone.

Even the room was small, the key felt ridiculously heavy, and sunbeds came at an extra cost. What really let us down, though, was how the property handled our request to change the booking after my child got sick. They refused to help and showed no empathy. Very disappointing.

The staff worked hard and were genuinely friendly, and the garden and grounds were lovely and well kept. We found enough vegetarian options at dinner, though the food itself ranged from poor to good. The rooms are cramped, and the bathroom layout makes little sense. Pool chairs cost €10 each per day, so most sat empty and the area felt sad. The hotel says it has a private beach, but the chairs are on a large sandy area about 100 metres from the actual beach. We were a family of three, including a teenager, staying in August 2023. It’s attractive, but poor value for money.
