Hotel Delaville Frontemare

The good points were the location, breakfast, and cleaning service, though the cleaner still didn't clear the completely clogged bath drain. The room was awful. The bath area is open to the toilet and sink, so everything gets wet and dirty, and water pressure is low and usually cold because several rooms share the system. The facilities feel like they date from the 1960s, and the hotel doesn't seem to put money into improvements. It was relatively affordable, but I didn't expect the hotel itself to feel so cheap. They don't switch on the air conditioning until after you've paid, even until the following day, and they don't show that in the photos. There are notes on the bathroom door joking that guests will come back as children and make a mess. If they can't invest in the place, they shouldn't joke about tourists. I'll complain to the mayor about the lack of basic infrastructure. Go somewhere else.

The hotel is in a good spot, very close to the sea, but the noise goes on until early morning. Service was excellent and the food was delicious, although it started repeating after a few days. The rooms and bathrooms are really small, and the pictures on the hotel's website make the rooms look nicer than they are.

The staff were super, and the hotel is lovely, right on the beach. Breakfast and dinner were both very high quality. We tried the restaurant for one or two nights while sampling other local places, and it turned out to be the best meal of our trip!

We had a great stay. The staff were nice and helpful, the location was very good, and the breakfast was delicious and generous. Our room was clean, though I would've liked a slightly bigger bathroom.
