The rooms were quiet, very clean, and had a nice feel to them. The beds were a little soft for my taste, though if you like that, it’s heaven. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff were wonderful. Breakfast was generous, but if you’re fussy about coffee, skip the automatic machine. Ask for a proper cappuccino instead and pay the extra, whether they ask you to or not.

There’s a beach about 50 metres away, with private sun loungers and parasols, which makes it a comfortable place to enjoy the sea and sun. The hotel also lends out bikes. They’re not enthusiast-grade, but I’m no enthusiast either, and they were good enough for exploring further afield. The council offers free bikes too, though I didn’t try them. The staff were helpful and always smiling, and my room, number 108, was clean and had a balcony. I liked the bathroom window that let in natural light. Just outside the hotel, there’s a good pizzeria, even if you don’t feel like walking, and plenty of restaurants are 5 to 15 minutes away. There are so many choices, and don’t miss the ice cream shops. Italian ice cream is delicious. The hotel is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the main bus station. From Marco Polo Airport, there’s no need to take a taxi: bus 3A takes about 40 minutes to get to the station and costs 3.50 Euros[Sept 2013], hard to beat for an airport transfer. Come here to enjoy Italy in a simple, hospitable way.

This was the cheapest place we found for the Jesolo ironman, but we ended up really satisfied. The friendly staff and the stay exceeded our expectations. Nothing to complain about.

The church and beach make a nice view from Piazza Trieste. You can get to the beach in a two-minute walk.
