Hotel Venezia La Villetta

We found the room uncomfortable and poorly cared for, with no working air conditioning. It was very old and useless, and made the stay even worse. The room itself was dirty, with stained sheets and pillowcases, and the blankets in the wardrobe smelled especially unpleasant. In the bathroom, the shower area was dirty and the old toilet seat had turned yellow. The balcony was filthy too: there were broken glass bottle caps in the flower pots, and the chairs were unclean. Some furniture was damaged, including broken pictures on the wall and worn tables. The whole place felt unhygienic and not properly maintained. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Our stay got off to a very bad start. The reception staff were extremely impolite and didn't speak English. Even though our rooms were already prepared, we were told to wait more than three hours outside the hotel. There were no toilets or other facilities available. I'm genuinely worried about the days ahead here. We'll see how the rest of the stay goes, and I may update this once it's over.

At breakfast, a granny was running around limiting what you could take from the buffet. Dinner portions were so small you couldn't get full, and everything seemed to cost extra and be too expensive. We were charged 50 euros for water. The fridge and phone cost extra too, there's no air conditioning, and the internet is terrible. There's a better hotel across the street. I don't recommend this one.

We came with a big group of kids for a tournament. The rooms were clean, but the food was very basic. What put me off returning was the staff, who were completely arrogant and seemed upset to have a full house of kids. I felt like we weren't wanted there.
