I was surprised to read some of the reviews because they didn't seem fair. The place is neat, the location is great, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a spa room and really enjoyed it. The pool has indoor and outdoor sections, with gentle bubbles and sprays, and there's also a sauna, steam room, and a lounge chair relaxation area. Breakfast was simple, like you'd expect at a 3-star hotel, but had what you need to start the day: ham, cheese, eggs, croissants, mini pastries, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and good coffee. For a mountain and hiking trip, this is a great find. I'd definitely come back.

Monday felt like a ghost town, with nobody around and no bar or restaurant. A heads-up would have been nice, since guests were left without much help. Breakfast was more of a tease than a meal: the eggs were so overcooked they were practically blue, like something out of Avatar. The AC roared like a jet engine but barely cooled the room. The SPA didn't have too many rules, which was good, and the finnish sauna was alright, I guess. But the benches were so worn that they had splinters. Seriously, who thought that was okay?

The ambience was great and the spa really good, but the air conditioning didn't cool enough. It would have been a 5-star stay otherwise. I ended up sleeping in the car.

The restaurant was excellent and the spa was really nice. Our only problem was the AC. It had been running all day, but the room was still 26 degrees at night.
