Hotel Azzurro

We even received free room upgrades, and breakfast was included and satisfactory. The rooms were very spacious and extremely clean, warm, and comfortable. I slept properly, which I don't usually manage when I'm away from home. My business partner and I stayed one night on the way to a meeting. Reception closes at 9.30pm, but we were given clear instructions for getting into the hotel and our rooms, so that caused no problems.

The main reason I'd recommend this place to bicycle tourists is the secure bike storage. My bike could go in a locked, unused basement room with frosted glass, and only staff can enter. I think the same may be true for motos or motorcycles, since there's a moto parking sign in the elevator. The staff were lovely too. The girl who checked me in spoke English and was very kind, and the lady at breakfast was nice. Breakfast was good, with great coffee. My room was spacious. I found the cheapest rate, 60 Euros, on Agoda (owned by Booking.com). I couldn't find a way to control the aircon, but there are radiators for heat. I didn't use them or need them in late October. There was a kitchen but no cookware, though you might be able to ask reception for some. It's not a super romantic place, but it suited what I needed. It felt a little expensive, though worth it for the bike security and kind staff. There was one noisy spell: my room was on the second floor, where there's also a meeting room, and a group of people were yelling, debating, and talking over one another. It ended around 2000. It was kind of weird hearing everyone talk at once, but they didn't carry on all night. The rest of the night was very quiet. Thanks for a great stay all around!

The apartments are self-contained and serviced, and the prices are good. They're close to amenities, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
