Clelia's Boutique Rooms & Suites

The room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean, and the bathroom was spotless. Staff were polite and helpful in their messages, and gave us good tips for beaches and local dining. There’s free parking uphill from the property, though spaces are limited. We stayed one night at Clelia’s Boutique Rooms & Suites during a quick stop in La Maddalena. When we arrived around 3 PM, no one was at reception. We contacted them on WhatsApp and quickly got the codes for the main door and our room. It worked out, but I’d suggest getting in touch before arriving so check-in is less stressful. The bed was the biggest problem. The mattress was much too soft and sagged noticeably when we lay down, making it hard to rest even for one night. The air conditioning also took a long time to cool the room. Breakfast was disappointing: it wasn’t served there, and the voucher for a nearby café covered only coffee and a croissant. That felt very minimal for a stay booked with breakfast included. The place is clean and communication is smooth, but the bed and breakfast arrangement need attention.

The bedrooms were spacious, clean and tastefully furnished in a modern style. They were cleaned every day, and parking on the street was free. You can find coffee and tea in the arrival area rather than in the rooms. It’s close to town, but still calm.

Luca was a great host, with helpful advice for finding our way around town and nice restaurant suggestions. The room was air-conditioned, very clean and nicely furnished. The location is great, right in town, but it wasn’t too noisy at night. Our group was a little underwhelmed by breakfast, which was a drink or coffee and a croissant. It was still quite good, just less than we expected.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were cleaned daily. The place is very nice and close to the center and the port, where there are restaurants, taverns and bars. You get a code for the locks, so there’s no key to carry around. The rooms are quite damp, which gets especially bothersome if you’re trying to dry a bathing suit or beach towels. You can also often hear noise from other rooms and the street, so that may be disturbing if you’re used to quiet places.
