L'Ajaccio B&B

We really enjoyed our two nights here. The hosts were lovely and gave us useful suggestions for beaches and places to eat. It’s in a peaceful spot that works well if you have a car, with beautiful beaches nearby. The breakfast was delicious, too.

Giuseppe made breakfast a treat each morning, cheerfully fixing whatever coffee we fancied, from a macchiato to a double cappuccino or an Americano. There was plenty of choice, too. We also had a great time in the outdoor areas, and the bedrooms were as comfortable as promised. From the moment we arrived, the care behind the details was clear, and Arcangelo was attentive, helpful, and friendly throughout. The Ajaccio is somewhere we’d happily return to when visiting the beaches of La Maddalena.

The host was warm and accommodating, and we felt welcome right away. Breakfast was thoughtfully made, with lots of homemade items, served on a small, charming terrace. We also liked having a clean, modern bathroom, a relaxing outdoor seating area with a hammock, and plenty of parking on site. Getting to the city center by car was quick, while the house itself stayed wonderfully quiet. We’re not very experienced with this kind of accommodation, but had a pleasant stay. The room was tight for two people with two large suitcases, and we couldn’t open both at once. Sounds from the kitchen carried through the house, which made sleeping in difficult. Still, the hospitality and location made for a lovely visit, with a few compromises in comfort.

Simone kindly sent us all the details we needed to plan our time on the island. My family, two adults and our two-year-old, stayed for three nights and had a special visit. The room and en-suite had everything we needed, and each morning we got to try Mrs. Danila’s desserts. Breakfast was superb. We’ll definitely come back!
