I Quattro Pozzi

I called the number on their website at 9:40 pm to ask about availability for possibly booking 21 room nights. I began by acknowledging that it was late, but the woman was still gentle in telling me so. If you work in hospitality and publish your contact number, you should expect calls. If you’re at home enjoying a well-deserved evening, don’t answer the phone. She asked me to email for the next day, and I surely will.

The person looking after us was kind and clearly wanted to provide thoughtful service. He handled everything, from check-in through breakfast, while we were there. We also saw other guests be rude to him when things weren’t exactly to their liking. The breakfast was very good, and the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The guesthouse is new and lovely, just outside La Morra, about a 5-10 minute uphill walk to the center. It looks as beautiful as the pictures. The parking is across the street, in a gravel lot that’s still under construction. We had to wait for someone to move a tractor before parking, and carrying our large bags across the gravel to the entrance was difficult. I expect the work will be finished soon, but paving the lot would help. The price also felt a little high for what the property offered. Still, thank you for a nice first stay in the Langhe region.

The buildings are so well maintained, and the view is amazing. It was very quiet at night, just peaceful silence, and breakfast was top-notch. Such a cozy place. We liked it so much. If you pass through that town, you should spend at least one night there. Highly recommended!

The pool is the icing on the cake, and the location is ideal, near the center and surrounded by beautiful vineyards. This was my second stay at Quattro Pozzi, and Elisa made these short visits so enjoyable. She always welcomes us warmly and professionally, pays attention to everyone’s needs, and is absolutely lovely. Thank you, Elisa.
