Acquamarina

The room was clean and good enough, though there was a faint sewer smell during all four days of our stay. We liked the historic part of the city, and there was a market five minutes away with amazing products. The owner was lovely and shared lots of advice for visiting La Spezia and the other Cinque Terre villages. I'd happily stay again.

Andrea was a welcoming host who gave us plenty of tips, including where we could park our rental car for free and safely behind the main police station. The apartment is in a no-vehicle area, and getting your case upstairs takes two flights of stairs before the elevator. Our recently renovated room was spacious, with a clean, spacious bathroom and a good-sized shower. The bar fridge kept drinks cold, and there were facilities for making both coffee and tea, unlike many places that only have pod machines. It's perfectly located near the main market, restaurants, and main mall. A great base for heading to Cinque Terra by ferry or train. I recommend taking the ferry out, then using the train and Cinque Terre pass to travel between the five lands.

The photos don't do it justice. The apartment and people were great, while breakfast was just normal.

Andrea was lovely and gave us tips on getting around and finding places to eat, including spots serving authentic traditional food. The room was nice and clean, in a centrally located building on a quiet pedestrian street. Shops and all kinds of activities are close by.
