Casa Per Ferie San Giovanni Bosco

The staff were extremely helpful, the service was top-notch, and online replies came very quickly. Our room was huge, with two showers even though there were three of us in a room for four. The breakfast was a great way to start the day, and the train station is just a few minutes’ walk away. I’ll definitely come back if I visit La Spezia again.

I booked this hotel for two nights, but my flight was delayed by five hours and I arrived late to check in. I had proactively texted to explain what happened, yet they wouldn’t let me check in when I arrived. They canceled my room, leaving me to sleep on the hotel porch that night in very cold weather, and didn’t refund my money because I was late. I had to book another hotel the next day. Everyone should be careful with this hotel. It felt like robbery.

The location was the one good thing. There was a terrible smell in the room, especially in the bathroom. We asked to switch rooms, but were told none were available. Thank goodness we were there for only three days 🙏

The rooms were spotless, breakfast was good, and the staff were always around to help. We got a warm welcome and had a perfect stay. Thanks especially to Fiorela! We'll definitely come back.
