The hostel had a great atmosphere, with welcoming, helpful owner Andrea and staff, and nice fellow guests. It felt safe at night and was within walking distance of everything. I liked it enough to extend my stay. The rooms weren’t the best standard I’ve seen, but they were more than enough for a couple of nights. I’d missed that the bathroom was shared by everyone, about four dorm rooms, I think, and worried about it, but I always managed to find a free toilet. I appreciated the small breakfast and the amazing free pasta night.

I loved staying at Costello as a solo traveler and would recommend it to everyone. It’s the friendliest, most generous hostel I’ve come across on my travels. There’s plenty of room in the bunk rooms to relax alone when you want quiet, as well as lots of ways to socialize in the well-equipped kitchen and dining room or on the big outdoor patio.

There’s a nice mix of age groups at this great hostel. Andrea and his team are fantastic hosts, putting on lots of free events like pasta dinners and aperitifs. I’d definitely book here again in La Spezia.

It’s a small, cozy, very social hostel, with everything you need in the kitchen. The location is good and works perfectly for day trips to Cinque Terre. Everyone was so nice, sweet, and welcoming. I’d totally stay again!

The staff were really friendly and always glad to help, and the dorms were spacious with air conditioning. The bathroom was clean, and the kitchen had plenty of snacks, tea, and coffee for everyone. Supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes were nearby, and the train station was an easy 10-minute walk. Thanks so much for a great stay during my visit to Cinque Terra. Highly recommended!
