Hotel Firenze E Continentale

My wife and I come back every year, and the staff feel like a second honorary family to us. The breakfasts, dinners, live music, and exotic drinks at the hotel’s Terminus Cafe' bar & restaurant are always spectacular. It’s so convenient being near both the main train station and the Mediterranean Sea. One of Italy’s most beautiful hotels. Bravo, Hotel Firenze e Continentale...we’ll see you soon! Larry & Caroline

The breakfast had lots of variety and was really good, with a gluten free pack available too. The hotel itself is very pretty and in a super location, and the service was good. If you’re driving, check out the private parking, it makes sense. I’d recommend booking through their web page.

The reception was the one weak point. Some staff were helpful, while others could use more customer service training, and that took away a little from an otherwise great stay. The hotel is right by the train station, so getting to Cinque Terre is very easy. Rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was incredible, with lots of fresh, tasty choices.

The location is great and the breakfast decent, but that’s about where the positives end. During our Europe trips, we’ve never had a smaller room. We couldn’t get the same room type for both nights, so we stayed one night in a super double/twin and the next in a junior suite. In the super double, the sofa bed blocked the walkway to the bathroom. The shower glass wasn’t sealed at the bottom, so water leaked along the floor edge, where mold was already showing. The junior suite was a little bigger and more renovated. Both room types had poor AC coverage around the sofa bed, and there were mosquitoes in the room on the second night even though we never opened the window. Neither room blocked noise well.
