The room and bathroom were spotless, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. I can only recommend it.
The apartment isn't downtown, but it's easy to reach by bus, train, car, or on foot. There are plenty of parking spaces, which matters when you're travelling by car. The host was lovely and explained the apartment and the area, and gave us a bottle of local wine, plenty of water, coffee, tea, breakfast biscuits, and €5 breakfast vouchers for each day at the restaurant across the street. The room and bathroom are spacious, with everything a tourist needs. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
We were a family of four, and the room at La Rosa del Golfo dei Poeti suited us perfectly. Marilena greeted us and kindly let us check in early because our train arrived ahead of time. She was so welcoming with us and the kids, always available, and quick to reply. She also had great suggestions and visitor information ready when we arrived. The room looked out over a park and was lovely. Having a bathtub felt like a real treat after walking and swimming each day. A main street nearby leads straight to the ports for boat tours, around 25 minutes away on foot. The train station is under ten minutes away, and it's one stop to La Spezia Centrale. The hosts are very friendly, and the rooms are well located, clean, and have everything you need. There are free parking spaces beside the building, and parking was easy. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.
The owners were very friendly and made our stay even better with their great tips. We had a wonderful time in La Spezia, and the briefing was really helpful. The accommodation is lovely, and we'd be happy to come back.
