The Railway 74

We picked Railway 74 because it’s close to the station, and we didn’t want to be wandering around an unfamiliar town late at night. Our flight was due to arrive late, so we contacted the property beforehand. They agreed to wait for us at the property for a fee, which we accepted. But nobody was there. At 12:15 at night we were stranded in the street with nowhere to stay. The only person who eventually opened the door was another guest, woken by our persistent ringing. After calls and messages with the owner, Donad, he agreed to give us a full refund. Three months later, I’m still waiting for that to be sorted out. I can’t recommend this property. They were completely unprofessional. Avoid it.

We could walk to everything we needed, and the host did a great job helping us get around. The rooms and location were great!

Our host Luca was really friendly and easy to contact. The room was beautiful and spacious.

The room was spotless and had air conditioning, and breakfast was brought right to our door in the morning. The hostess was so kind; we managed to communicate well with Google Translate. The building has been nicely renovated, and the location is ideal for visiting Cinque Terra, just a three-minute walk away and close to La Spezia central station. I'd recommend staying here.
