Hôtel du Glacier

Susanna made us feel right at home with her warmth and care. She even arranged dinner reservations at local restaurants for every night of our stay. Our room was spotless and felt roomier than we’d expected. The slopes are only a few minutes away, and there’s a ski bus nearby. The town center takes a little longer to reach, around an 8-10 minute walk, but it’s still easy to get to. I rarely leave reviews, but this stay really deserves one. I can’t recommend it enough.

The room was clean and adequate, with a good range of TV channels in the main European languages. There’s a nice view, plus a bar and a quaint breakfast area. The hotelier was very friendly and helped us book local restaurants. The ski lifts are about a 10-minute walk away, which makes the location convenient.

Lovely hotel, brilliant service, and great value. It is a bit of a walk to the piste, though.

Susanna looks after you so well that you feel like part of the family. The hotel is B&B only, but there are plenty of excellent restaurants just minutes away, and Susanna will suggest places and offer to book a table at breakfast. I suspect that pretty much guarantees you a seat. Our room had lovely regional furniture and, most importantly, a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is continental, with a good selection and freshly baked Croissant. There’s also a small but well-stocked bar and a very comfortable lounge. It’s a homely, family-run place. We’ve stayed in lots of hotels in La Thuile, and, to borrow from Ms Tina Turner, this is "simply the best".
