Montana Lodge & Spa, by R Collection Hotels

Stefano and Bianca made the bar a memorable part of our stay at Montana Lodge & Spa. They were attentive, professional, warm, and welcoming, and their knowledge of drinks, cocktails, and wines was impressive. Their recommendations suited guests' tastes, and they brought such enthusiasm and care to every interaction. The lodge itself has a warm, elegant feel that makes it a lovely place to unwind after a day in the mountains, and the bar service really stood out.

We used to come to Nira Montana regularly from the time it opened, and always loved it. This last visit was a real disappointment. There were lots of hairs on and around the toilet, and yellow stains on the seat. The bed was extremely uncomfortable too, with no mattress, just a mattress topper. Even the breakfast raspberries were mouldy. Hard to believe at this hotel category and price, especially since we booked directly with the hotel and didn't use a discounted website rate.

The rooms were spotless and warm, and everything about them felt just right. It's a beautiful, cozy, friendly hotel. The spa was also fantastic, spacious, very well maintained, and had everything you could want.

We loved our stay. The balcony had an amazing view, and the room was large and lovely, with a coffee machine, fridge, a modern, well-lit shower room, and plenty of lit wardrobe storage. Each morning the room was cleaned, towels changed, and coffee and water topped up. In the evenings, someone checked whether we needed anything else. Breakfast had more choice than I've ever seen, and the spa was a relaxing treat, with friendly, helpful staff and free snacks and water. We also enjoyed drinks at the bar, where the team were lovely and helpful. Reception made check-in quick and easy, and when the restaurant was full on our arrival night, they booked us into a nearby one. They even provided a complimentary ride to the waterfalls. Everyone went above and beyond. I'd highly recommend this hotel.
