The service made this stay especially memorable. Antonio, the restaurant manager, went out of his way for us and arranged a lovely birthday celebration for my daughters. We used to spend our last night in Rome before flying home, but La Posta Vecchia has become our new choice for that final, restful stop. The estate sits right by the water, about 45 minutes from central Rome, and feels like a peaceful, elegant private castle. Our room had an incredible ocean view, and was luxurious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful extras like a great coffee maker and quality toiletries. A gorgeous place, and a perfect way to end an Italy trip.

The private beach was such a plus, especially with everywhere nearby so crowded. We came just for a beach day and lunch, and the food was genuinely so good. Everyone was SO friendly, and I loved that water was included. Thanks for an amazing birthday beach day. It's about 50 minutes from Rome.

We'd definitely come back. It was a lovely place on the coast, around 30 minutes north of the airport, and worked really well for a stay before flying out of Rome. The food and service were excellent.

The setting is stunning, and the hotel looked even better than the photos. Service at the hotel and restaurant was great, and the rest of the food was good, though not outstanding. The portions were very small. We'd been looking forward to special dinners, but the pasta was mushy and tasteless on both nights, which was especially disappointing in Italy. The bar service was another letdown. The bartender was tied up talking at length with another table about his basketball career, so we fetched a bottle from our room and opened it ourselves on the bar balcony. We also had to ask for simple snacks like olives, and those portions were tiny. An appetizer menu would help. With the hotel so remote, you're pretty much stuck with its dining options, and the mediocre meals are why I'm giving it only three stars.

Our first stop after landing in Rome was La Posta Vecchia, and every hotel we stayed at afterward has fallen short by comparison. The place is impeccably designed and decorated, and the location, attention to detail, and service were all wonderful. Can't wait to return!
