Villa Corsini

The location is easily the property's strongest point, and we appreciated being given a room with its own bathroom because one was available, even though we'd booked a shared one. There was also a small fridge and a TV with a cable box, though using it took two remotes and wasn't intuitive. We had to ask the host how to turn it on. The property has space and potential, but the upkeep and service need attention. Our room was never cleaned or made up during the stay. Even getting the already-full trash bin emptied meant contacting the host. We found just one roll of toilet paper for the whole visit, no shower soap, and only a small soap container by the sink, which was never refilled. The bathroom is spacious and has a washing machine we didn't use, but there's no bidet. The bathtub is very high, which would be impractical for anyone with mobility difficulties. The towels were old and rough, and the toilet roll holder was awkwardly low. Breakfast was sparse: a basket of packaged items, including one coffee pod and one tea bag per person each day, packaged braided bread, toast, jam, sugar, and plum cake. There's a coffee maker and kettle, but no milk, which would have been welcome in the morning. The room was cold and quite dark because the lighting was dim. The bed sat very low, and the closet was empty, so we had to ask for extra pillows. A wicker shelf behind the door near the bed was dusty and unusable. And when we arrived, there was a urine smell near the property. The place could be improved, especially in cleanliness, customer care, and general maintenance.
