Haus Sonnegg is a comfortable, relaxing place on the mountainside in the village of Albions. It’s a great base for hiking in the Dolomites. There aren’t shops or supermarkets nearby, though, so you’ll want a car. Chiusa and Laion are about a 10-minute drive away, with a large supermarket. Our hosts greeted us warmly and shared helpful local tips, including parking and nearby restaurants. The room was bright, clean, and comforting, with wood decor that made it feel cozy. The apartment had all the amenities we needed.

Albions is about a 20-minute drive from the area’s wonderful sights, and there are lovely treks in the village too. You’ll need a car to explore, while Chiusa and Laion are around 10 minutes away for groceries and restaurants. The apartment itself is beautiful, roomy, and comfortable, with a superb view across the valley. I hope to return.

The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the apartment was very clean. It’s so quiet around here, and the balcony’s view over the Alpine valley is the best part. Mornings were never this beautiful. I highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway in Upper Tyrol.
