Agriturismo Ragoncino

The pool was nice, but the beds were horribly uncomfortable, and Volterra was much too far away. We had originally planned to stay at another hotel closer to Volterra, but its pool wasn't working, something the listing hadn't mentioned. The kind woman who drove over to give us the keys suggested this hotel instead, since it had a working pool and was quite close by. For €250 a night, the value is poor and the beds should be much nicer. I would definitely avoid this hotel and their other one, Villa Opera.

A relaxing place with a swimming pool and a great view. The wifi was weak, probably because of the thick walls.

The best in every sense!

The place is beautiful and atmospheric, with so much potential. But instead of relaxing, we were faced with a list of absurd extra charges: for a duvet, blankets, towels, even heating, and for not taking out the trash, despite there not even being a garbage can on site. The bathroom was so dirty that the toilet bowl had turned yellow, and cleaning costs extra, as do dust and cobwebs. I don't think there was a single clean corner in the room. The nights are getting colder, so be careful if you book a vacation here. You may wake up cold or have to pay extra for something that should be included. We wouldn't go back.
