Hotel Conca D'Oro

My grandmother and I got lost walking around Salo after our taxi never arrived, so we stopped here even though we weren't staying at the hotel. The family who run the hotel and restaurant drove us back to our hotel in their own car and wouldn't take a tip. They were unbelievably kind and helpful. The hotel itself looks beautiful, with an interior straight out of a posh period drama. Thank you for being such lovely people.

Mrs. Roberta and the rest of the staff were so kind, and I really enjoyed the tasty breakfast. Her welcome to people from abroad was among the warmest I experienced during my time in Italy. Grazie.

Such kind people, and the homemade food was simply wonderful. If the whole world were like this, it'd be a better place.

Roberta went far beyond what we expected when bad weather made us leave early. She got breakfast ready at a very unusual hour and even drove to Pavullo to collect sandwiches for our lunch. We're so grateful for that kindness. We were walking the Via Vandelli and stayed in simple, clean rooms. The set dinner was a treat, especially the absolutely delicious tortelloni. Their house red and white wines were a hit too.
