We booked the inexpensive apartment, and while it could use a few small renovations, it has a full bathroom and kitchen. The owners were very helpful with whatever we needed, and the place is excellent value for money. The host also showed us the other rooms, which were very nice and well equipped. The property sits in the city's geographical center, making it an unbeatable base for getting anywhere in Calabria.

We couldn’t sleep at all, and I’m thankful we only had to stay a few hours. We have severe allergies, and the stale smell from damp, badly maintained walls caused us serious breathing problems. It was a frightening experience in a musty basement, with throwaway furniture and no daylight even coming in as a joke. The owner was helpful, but that didn’t change how it felt to open the door and walk into a house of horrors. Paying guests deserve respect, and this is no way to treat tourists. I was ashamed to be Calabrese because of an operator offering such a disgraceful place and taking advantage of a poor, unfortunate person’s good faith. How do you make a tourist say “never again”? Remove him from your site! To top it off, he demanded cash payment right away without giving a receipt. NOT RECOMMENDED.

The rooms are modern and the hospitality is top-notch. It's 8 minutes from the sea and 5 minutes from the Caronte thermal baths, in the historic center with shops and services nearby.

Roberto was friendly and very attentive. Great value for the money, and I hope I can come back sometime.
