Hotel Paladini di Francia

Our first night in Lampedusa was a great one. We ate at the restaurant and loved the Michelin-rated food experience. The owner, Tony, welcomed us like friends and arranged a boat trip with a captain. We were really glad we chose it.

I only stayed briefly, but constant internet problems made me leave. Checking out turned into a lot of back and forth with booking com, including requests to pay for the full amount for days I hadn’t stayed. I visit the island often, but I won’t come back here. Also, English is a real struggle there.

The room had recently been renovated, was quiet, and had air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent, especially the homemade pastries, and Rossella at reception was kind and always willing to help with whatever we asked. The hotel is right on the seafront opposite Lampedusa's new port. A lovely place, and we’ll definitely return.

Giorgia was so kind and helpful, sharing tips that made it feel like we were staying at home. Igor was very friendly too, and the free airport transfers in both directions were much appreciated. The hotel is clean and nicely placed opposite the new port, with excursion boats to choose from, a short walk to Guitgia cove, and about 10 minutes from the airport. Rabbit Beach and other island attractions aren’t far either. Our room was spacious and clean, with a hairdryer, fridge stocked with 2 bottles of water, air conditioning, a safe in the closet, and bathroom toiletries. There are drying racks in the shared areas for towels, swimsuits, and other things, which gave the place a vacation-home feel. Breakfast was decent, though the selection was limited, and the restaurant owner’s homemade cakes were delicious. The WiFi signal was a little weak, but we were comfortable and enjoyed our roughly 4-day stay on this beautiful island. Highly recommended!
