We had a different experience from some of the rather negative reviews, and were very happy with our stay. The place is well kept, with a beautiful swimming pool. The view is the best part: from the terrace you can see across the hills and far over Tuscany. We made do with the kitchen utensils, though a few more pans and other cooking items would make it easier to prepare a proper Italian meal. Feel free to stay here!

We chose this place because the photos looked appealing, but what we found on arrival was very different. It was clean, but felt lifeless and unwelcoming, with old, worn furnishings. Leaves covered the terrace, making the place seem deserted. For what was provided, I thought it was far too expensive. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and my phone showed only one weak bar even when it did connect. There was no cell service, either. The listing promised things that weren’t actually there, including pool umbrellas. We were told they might blow away in the evening, which may be true, but that should have been mentioned in the description. There wasn’t a proper check-in. To reach anyone, we had to deal with two different people, which made things needlessly complicated. There’s also a shared washing machine right next to our apartment, impossible to miss. In my opinion, it’s a nasty rip-off!

The view from the area is beautiful, but the accommodation feels sloppy and the staff seem disengaged, when they’re there at all. Getting in and out means tackling a very steep access road. It feels like this place worked a few years ago, but I wouldn’t recommend it now. Even the fridge makes noise like a bad dream.

The surroundings were poorly kept, and the place didn’t match the pictures or what we expected. When we pointed this out, the host was very angry, then stopped replying to emails. We left four days early because we were dissatisfied and got no compensation. Oops, oops.
