Agriturismo La Moriccia

One night just isn't long enough here, so I'll be back. It's a lovely place for a family, with a beautiful view and wonderful people. GPS made it easy to find.

We held our son's baptism here, and Graziano, Rolando, and Paola helped make the day unforgettable. A warm thank you to them, from Marco, Olha, and Raul. It's a family-run agriturismo in a fantastic spot. The farmhouse has been beautifully renovated, and outside there's a park where you can stroll and see different kinds of animals, plus a pool. The food was excellent too, with top-quality meat and fresh homemade pasta. It had everything you'd hope for in a place like this.

We arrived late at the restaurant, but liked what we saw. The location is beautiful, though a little hard to reach. As the owner/manager says, "If you want to see beauty, you have to suffer a little." The welcome was a bit gruff at first, perhaps from being relaxed in the woods, but the owner eventually became friendly and helpful. I even caught a smile for the child beneath that tough exterior. I can partly understand the Monday fatigue. The head waiter more than made up for it, though, with a friendly manner and super-efficient service. The ingredients were good, but not outstanding. The "homemade" pasta could be better, and the meat was good rather than excellent. The sophisticated plating could use improvement too. The price also felt off: €80 for two without wine, including a plate of pasta with meat sauce for the child, which was good, is definitely too much.

The food was excellent, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the value was very good. The location is beautiful too. My only issue is Saturday karaoke. If you don't like it, steer clear that night. In the karaoke room, people keep trying to get you to sing. In the other room, the music is still so loud it's hard to avoid. Too bad. I'll definitely return, just not on a Saturday.
