Cevoli Country Resort

The owners made us feel at home, and the staff were lovely and helpful. We spent a few days here with our family before our wedding and enjoyed everything about the place. The apartments were just right, and the property sits in a beautiful corner of Tuscany.

We were a family of four, with a girl of 11 and a boy of 8, and Cevoli Country Resort was the loveliest, most relaxing part of our 10-day trip to Italy, even though we only spent 2 days there. Ambre gave us a warm, friendly welcome. Our accommodation was tastefully furnished and spotless. I even checked the picture frames and light fittings for dust, and couldn't find a speck. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with a pool, children's play house, barbecue area, and a large lawn bordered by shrubs, flowers, and statues. It looked lovely lit up at night. Our apartment had a small enclosed garden at the front and a sunny, hedge enclosed patio at the back. The intimate resort is surrounded by classic Tuscan countryside, with a small town nearby that has a well-stocked Supermarket, Pharmacy, and the other things you might need. Walks start right at the resort, and rural sights like nearby Lari's Castle are easy to visit. We've started planning another trip and would stay at Cevoli for the whole visit next time. Thanks to Ambre, the staff, and the owners for being so hospitable. We hope to see you again soon. One thing we noticed: the exciting Mezzanine floor where the children slept might not suit younger kids. It may be worth asking about other arrangements or stair gates. Otherwise, Mum and Dad could sleep upstairs and the children could use the Master Suite. We didn't see the other apartments, so that's only based on our own experience. I hope you have as lovely a time as we did.

Each apartment has its own private gate, patio, and lounge area, and is very well equipped for a longer stay. The owners' thoughtful extras were much appreciated: fresh flowers, a gift basket with orange juice, pasta, and milk, plus olive oil from their own grove. The entrance is gated, the driveway is well lit, the pool is huge, and the staff are helpful and friendly. We had to change our plans quickly on arrival because the castle at San Ruffino where we were supposed to stay had collapsed. Cevoli Country Resort accommodated all four of us right away. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone. San Ruffino castle made no attempt to fix their incompetence. They lured people there, then left them to find their own accommodation.

The staff were really helpful, and the place itself was nice. We stayed for a week in summer 2016 and drove to different spots each day. We had the owner's apartment at the front of the building, with a big garden, a private Jacuzzi, and gated parking just for us. Since it was early July, the fruit and vegetables in the other garden weren't ready to enjoy yet. There were only lemons. The downsides were bad Wi-Fi, the pool being out of commission for a few days, no hot water for one night, and a busy road beside "our" garden.
