The real highlight was the welcome from the friendly team, especially Giuseppe. He was always smiling and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We were there while the team was harvesting olives around the property, which was lovely to see. Poggio Pozzetti felt like a little haven, and we’d happily return after our six-night stay. Our two- and four-year-olds loved the animals and play park every day, and the setting felt safe with no busy roads nearby. Cefalu was close enough for a beach swim or a wander through the old town, then we could be back in about 20 minutes. The pool was spotless, with lovely valley views, and the whole place was well cared for. The simple, rustic apartment was very clean, with a terrace looking over the hills to the sea. The kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated the welcome basket and basics like salt, pepper, water, and washing-up liquid. The little shop was useful too, especially for ordering fresh bread each day. A couple of things could be easier for families: we’d have liked more baby gear, such as a high chair and toddler-friendly plates and bowls. There was only one bin in the accommodation, while the main bin area has separate compost, recycling, and glass containers. More bins in the accommodation would have made sorting rubbish easier.

We stayed eleven days at Turismo Rurale Poggio Pozzetti and found it easy to unwind in the peaceful countryside. The pool looks out across the Sicilian mountains, and the surrounding scenery adds to the calm. The staff were warm and attentive throughout. Our accommodation was comfortable, and the laundry and ironing room came in very handy during a longer stay. The property is beautifully kept and thoughtfully put together. We’d gladly come back.

Back for a second visit, and we still love it here. The garden is beautiful and spacious, the pool is great, and the rooms have a nice traditional feel. It’s quiet too, with the nearest road and house a long way off. The people are super friendly. A lovely place for couples or families, thanks for having us!

Such stunning views, and the little help-yourself shop on site works really well. Giuseppe, the local Italian handyman, is a star, and the properties are beautifully maintained and renovated to a high, stylish standard. The setting is breathtaking and we had a great time. One catch: the track up to the villas is challenging, so you need to be a very confident driver.

A peaceful spot in the hills, not far from Cefalu beach. We had a great time and will definitely return. The authentic rooms, lovely dogs wandering the estate, and well-kept pool and garden made it easy to relax, read, and switch off. Guiseppe is helpful and keeps everything tidy.
