Agriturismo Villa Ilangi

I loved the wines, especially the Verementino and Chianti. I visited Villa Ilangi on a wine tour in Florence, and Sabrina, our tour guide, made the experience a 10/10. She knows her wines and was amazing. She's a great employee. I'd highly recommend it.

The wine arrived in Minnesota intact and was amazing, about six weeks after I ordered it. We visited with a tour group, and I had the wine shipped home. The shipping vendor communicated well, and there were no problems. I didn't have to pay import charges, shipping, or anything else. UPS handed over the box and I signed for it.

The place is nicely situated close to Firenze and the Chianti region, and the pool was really good. But we spent a week in the Margharita appartment, and the flat was clearly under-equipped. The old-fashioned style itself wasn't a big problem, but the beds were a nightmare, with old, worn-out springs that kept us from enjoying our stay. The kitchen was missing lots of basics, including teaspoons, mugs, bowls, a cutting board, small pans, and even a dish rack. A lot of things need replacing. The employees, especially Sara and Simon, were friendly and quick to respond. Still, the proprietors can't rely only on their employees' goodwill to keep things running. The property urgently needs investment in beds, dishes, a drying rack, and other basics so guests can have a pleasant stay. We definitely won't come back if nothing changes.
