Casale Il Gheppio

The rooms were spotlessly clean and the shared areas were tidy. Mr. Giuseppe greeted us warmly, showed us around, and made us a very neat, carefully prepared breakfast the next morning. I had hoped for something more traditional, though, since it was made up of packaged products. Otherwise, everything was fine. The property is surrounded by greenery on a quiet hillside, a lovely place to unwind. It’s about half an hour from the sea, but the calm was rejuvenating for both body and mind.

We were very happy with our stay and would gladly return. B&B Il Ghieppo in Laurea Cilento came recommended by local friends, and the setting and climate made it easy to see why. The view from the balcony, and while having breakfast, is fantastic. To one side you can see all the villages; to the other, in the distance and on a clear day, the Amalfi Coast, set among a beautiful valley of olive trees, fruit trees, and other greenery. The rooms are very clean, and the bathrooms are thoughtfully equipped with products from a well-known, non-polluting organic brand. The owner is kind and helpful, and a great pastry chef too. He makes ciambellone and tarts with homemade jams sourced from his own property below. The peaceful atmosphere, bells ringing, and roosters waking you in the morning make it feel like a true paradise. Congratulations!

I spent six days here with my two daughters and our dog, and we had a wonderful holiday. The Il Gheppio farmhouse and rooms are even better than they look in the photos. Mr. Giuseppe was a very kind, patient host. I had a wonderful time in Cilento, and recommend it 100%.

The view is stunning, and the place is surrounded by nature. Our host was very kind and ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms were clean. I’d suggest improving the breakfast, but otherwise everything was perfect. We’ll be back!
