The VolaLaurino and the canyoning trip on the river Calore were both brilliant. The sports staff were professional and friendly, and I felt safe the whole time, so I could just enjoy the scenery and the fun. I’d recommend both activities to anyone passing through the area. The payment side was a real letdown. A problem with the settlement system meant we paid twice, and the provider acknowledged the duplicate charge. Over the following four months, I got friendly email replies, but no actual refund for the money taken by mistake. Pay in cash if you go, and watch the transaction closely. It’s a pity this unprofessional, fraudulent behavior spoiled what was otherwise a wonderful package.

The Volo is a one-of-a-kind experience and worth trying. The rooms are small, but arranged well. A nice place to stay for at least two nights.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms are simple. Our group cleared out all the breakfast on the first morning, so they brought out more the next day. You can hear people in the hallway and neighboring rooms, though. It was quiet, as you'd expect in a convent.
