The seafood fry and tomato salad I ordered were delicious, with good portions and a great price for food of that quality. Everything tasted fresh, and the staff were so friendly that we felt at home. I definitely want to come back in the next few days and try some other dishes. I left my AirPods on the table by mistake. We returned hours after leaving, and they had kept them safe for me to pick up. Loved everything about the restaurant.
The pesto was so good, we loved it. The dishes here have an authentic, traditional local taste. There's outdoor seating, which is really beautiful in summer. Remember to book a table, since evenings get insanely crowded. Absolutely top!
I've eaten at Il Borgo twice, first in summer 2019 and again on my current holiday in Cavi, and I really like it. They serve breakfast, lunch, and aperitivo as well. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. The food is lovely and unpretentious. Some dishes, like fritture, come in the traditional brown paper used to soak up excess oil after frying. Prices are very reasonable, especially for high season in such a touristy spot as Cavi. Definitely recommended. Book ahead so you aren't disappointed.
The food at Borgo was really delicious. It wasn't very busy, but there was only one waiter, so we often had to wait to order or pay.
We had Trofie (Pasta) with Pesto and the fish of the day, along with some excellent food and Aperol spritz. Service, setting, food, and drinks were all fantastic, and the quality was high for such reasonable prices. We'd happily return. We were there in late May, just before the season starts, when many nearby restaurants had hours that didn't match Google Maps. This place was open all day, although dinner was served only from 19:30-22:30. Check it out!
