The rooms are simple but perfectly usable, and the restaurant view is spectacular. The food was the standout for me: breakfast was superb, with homemade bread and the best croissants I've ever had. It was better than anything else I ate during my whole week in Germany. I got stranded with car trouble on a Sunday evening while driving through Italy toward Germany. Hotel Carillon found a reasonably priced room for me and my dog at short notice. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful, and M went way out of her way to help me get to my car in another village. Without her, I would have been stuck for another night. They turned a bad situation into a lovely two-day break. I'll come back when it's warmer.

We tried the pizza and dessert, and both were very good. There are more kinds of pizza here than at many nearby pizzerias, and even though the place was quite full, service was quick. The covered terrace on the roof has a lovely view of the lake. It's on the main road, so you hear traffic, but it didn't bother us. The place doesn't look new, but we enjoyed it and will return. Pizzas start at 6 euros, and primi at 13.

The balcony and restaurant both have a gorgeous view over Lake Lugano. The room was great, the food was good, and the prices were affordable. After B&B Villa Caudia up the road ghosted us and left us without anywhere to stay, they took care of us despite the language barrier, even though we were exhausted from a long day of driving.

I stopped in for lunch for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, the menu had a nice range, and the service was both quick and attentive. We sat on the cool brisi balcony. I'd definitely recommend it for lunch or dinner.

The meal and service were excellent, and I had a beautiful lake view from my table. Just be aware that parking is very small and the road has a lot of bends, which could be tricky if you've had wine.
