For a short stay, this place is acceptable. The comfortable bed, spotless sheets, towels, and bathroom fixtures were positives, as were the very good, flexible included breakfast, free parking nearby, and the lakefront location within walking distance of central Laveno. But check-in was confusing: we weren't told the desk was at another hotel. The room's only light was burned out, and although staff said they knew, they didn't replace it. Wi-Fi never worked, and ants kept crawling beside the bed. The walls are so thin that noise from next door, whether partying or leaving at night, makes sleep impossible.

The location is excellent, close to the pier and several lakeside spots, and breakfast is served in a beautiful, nicely decorated restaurant next door. The room had been recently renovated, with fresh paint and good furnishings. The bathroom was updated with a shower, toilet, and bidet, though it had a few flaws. Air vents in the door help keep direct air out, but aren't ideal if you're using the third bed.

It's very central, but right along the nightlife route, so it may not suit you if you're after somewhere quiet.

The baked goods are decent, but the service is awful. There always seem to be plenty of people working, yet they can't keep up with the staff. They come across like disorganized amateurs. Disappointing, unfortunately.
