We enjoyed our stay, and there’s parking available. The people were welcoming, and breakfast had good options, including homemade baked goods and fresh fruit. The rooms were okay, but there’s only one AC unit in the shared area. You need to leave it running and keep the bedroom doors open for the air to reach them. Even with the curtains closed and ventilation windows open, the house gets very warm, and it takes a while for the AC to cool the rooms. The rubble flooring makes it hard to get around in a wheelchair or with a pushchair, and even wheeling luggage is difficult.

This could be a nice place, but the owner made it a really bad experience for us. We planned to camp for a couple of nights and the woman at reception welcomed us kindly. Things changed after we asked Andrea whether we really had to pay for electricity, since our van has no outlet and the website made it sound optional. He wasn't friendly to us after that, though he was very sweet to other guests. He accused us of smoking weed at our campsite. When we tried to ask if we'd done something wrong and said his rudeness and accusations made us uncomfortable, he rudely sent us away, saying he didn't have time for it. We bought an electricity cable in Lazise afterwards and left the next day. Like other reviews mentioned, we didn't get a proper invoice. The price of the olive oil should be a warning, it feels like an overpriced tourist trap. The nearby highway is also really loud.

The setting is lovely, up a little hill with a great view of the lake. It was easy to find, and the parking is right by the house. Lazise is about a 30-minute walk away. The pool and gardens with olive trees look just like the pictures, and I could watch the sunset in the evening. My room had been renovated, with a new bathroom and a comfortable bed. I slept perfectly despite my back problems. Everything was very clean, and every room has A/C, which kept things cool even when it was hot outside. Andrea and most of the staff speak English very well. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh baked goods and eggs cooked how you like them. Andrea even found some gluten-free items for me. They also make fresh lunches with vegetables they grow themselves, which were incredible and well worth trying. I arrived with a major car problem, and Andrea went out of his way to help me get everything sorted. I could really count on him. He was a friendly, welcoming host who made me feel at home. As a solo traveler, I always felt safe at the hotel and on the property.

The owner said cash was the only option, then charged us more than what we'd consumed and didn't give us any kind of receipt or invoice. I can only imagine why there wasn't one, and suspect it had to do with tax. Checkout was difficult because the owner wasn't there and the woman handling it acted as if she didn't understand what we were asking. We managed to speak with the owner by phone, but still couldn't get clear prices for the individual things we'd consumed. We didn't want to argue over €5 or €10, but left feeling uneasy. I wouldn't book again.
