Appartamento Al Castello

We spent about 90 euros for a full dinner for two, which felt justified by the whole experience. Ristorante Al Castello is set inside a castle, with an antique charm that gives it a fairytale feel. The atmosphere is warm and elegant, with soft background music adding to the calm. The staff were kind, attentive, and well trained, offering useful menu suggestions and checking that we were comfortable. The dishes were fresh, carefully presented, tasty, and well balanced, all cooked to a high standard. I’d gladly recommend Ristorante Al Castello for a special evening in a historic setting with refined food and impeccable service.

The food went down well with everyone, and the service was friendly and attentive. I like that they don't take reservations. In summer, the garden is a nice place to sit, though it can still be very hot in the early evening; they have water cooling fans set up to help. The restaurant gets so many people coming and going that it can feel hectic, though that's not really their fault. No WiFi, and it's pretty expensive overall, but I suppose the location is part of what you're paying for.

We had three courses in mid-June and couldn't fault a thing. The food and atmosphere were both lovely, and Shady was such a friendly, attentive waiter. 😊

The outdoor seating was really nice, and the service was good. We tried vongole pasta, carbonara, and a pizza, but the food was just average. There are definitely better restaurants.
