Hotel Corte Valier

We stayed four nights from late May into early June 2023. The hotel was perfectly clean and maintained, with a great location and ambience. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast. Parking, check-in, pool, sauna, and breakfast were all as advertised and expected, and the air conditioning was comfortably effective. Our room was the drawback. It was a corner room on the third floor, and the building’s ‘ell’ roof partly blocked the lake view from the small balcony. Apparently this is the only room with that issue, but we drew the short straw. We also didn’t care for the four-poster bed and its drapes. It’s probably one of the best full-service hotels in the area, though the Garda region is quite overpriced and doesn’t offer great value. We still enjoyed the stay and would recommend the hotel if you’re nearby.

We’ve come back three years running, and I can see us returning again. It’s a wonderful hotel in a delightful setting. The rooms are modern and comfortable, with careful housekeeping, and breakfast offers a huge range of exquisite choices. There’s a luxurious outdoor pool in a lovely position with plenty of sunbeds, as well as an indoor pool, a bar, and more. The staff are friendly and very accommodating.

We usually don’t return to a holiday destination, but this hotel has become the exception. We came back this year and are already talking about another visit. The lake is only metres from the grounds, and most rooms have a fantastic view. Lazise is a short walk along the lakeside, with plenty of places for dinner if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. The robot lawnmowers keeping the grounds tidy are entertaining to watch each day. The rooms are beautifully appointed and impeccably clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast has an amazing choice of food and drink. On hot days the clean, inviting outdoor pool and its sunbeds are a great place to spend time. The indoor pool is peaceful and warm, with other spa features for anyone wanting extra relaxation.

The rooms are spacious, especially the ground-floor ones that open directly onto the park and its large pool. The hotel is very well run, with excellent service throughout. At spa level there’s a nice thermal pool, two saunas, and a Turkish bath, and the body massage treatments were wonderful too. The lakeside setting offers stunning views at any time of day. A wonderful experience, not to be missed.
