Lazise Lakeside Haven Retreat

The landlord's service was disastrous. After I'd told them when I expected to arrive, I still had to call three more times before I finally got the keys, half an hour late. I emailed on day two about the toilet that kept running and made a lot of noise at night, but got no reply at all. The apartment needs a serious renovation and has lost its charm. Its first-floor furnishings are old, partly broken, and badly worn, with some pieces looking as if they'd come from a dump. Cleaning was appalling too: flat surfaces had been wiped, while corners, edges, radiators, and the areas under beds and furniture were layered with years of dust and grime. The shower grout and edges were in a deplorable state, with rust and dirt. About €1,200 for eight days in September is absolutely not justified.

That balcony view was breathtaking, and getting to the center on foot was easy. The place pays attention to all the little details, so congratulations to them. The two owners were wonderful, always smiling and ready to help. I only wish I'd been able to stay longer than a few days. One of the easiest five-star ratings I've ever given.

The apartment was roomy and comfortable, in a quiet, pleasant setting, and only a short walk from the center. We were welcomed warmly and everyone was very available. Thanks so much! Barbara and Giuseppe

Nicola, the owner, was wonderful and ready to help with anything. We spent three days in a peaceful, relaxing spot and would definitely return. The apartment was clean, tidy, and fully equipped, with all the comforts we needed. Thanks again from our family!
