Villaggio Borgo Blu Poggio

Good value for the price, and close to Caneva and Movieland. A great place to stay.

The little house by the pool was clean and pleasant, with direct access to it. We stayed for four days in September 2021, mainly for the nearby parks and lake, and because dogs are allowed. It worked well as a last-minute choice. A few kitchen things were missing, including a lighter, even though we don’t smoke, and a bottle opener. Reception got them for us quickly. The main problem was that there was no gate at the entrance. I’d said we had a puppy, and we couldn’t let him wander around. Being next to the pool made it risky, since he could have fallen in. We blocked the entrance with a drying rack instead. The Wi-Fi signal wasn’t very good. There was just one TV in the kitchen and living room, plus a wooden bench. The website gave the impression that the pool with slides was included, but we only found out there that it was at the neighboring campsite and we couldn’t use it. They should make that clearer.

We had a lovely stay at Borgo Blu Poggio for a weekend away at the spa on Lake Garda. It’s a charming, quiet place, and the pool was great for unwinding.

We stayed three nights. The site itself is okay, but the “mobile homes” are really caravans with awnings, and they look like they’re from the 80s. The furnishings are just as dated. For over €100 a night, they badly need an update. There are much better places to choose from.
