We found plenty of good, reasonably priced restaurants nearby, and the staff were helpful. The hotel is on the edge of Lecce, though, so you’ll need a car. It was peak season and there were lots of young people heading to Puglia’s beaches. Our room was huge, which made it easy to move my daughter around in her wheelchair. It also had two bathrooms, so we could avoid the frighteningly high toilet except when showering her. I usually avoid booking accessible rooms in Italy because the toilets seem to be made for giants, and my short daughter is as scared of them as I am. Breakfast was the weak point. The savory choices weren’t very good, the bacon wasn’t crispy, and the eggs looked like they came from a box. The cheese and charcuterie were so-so, and the machine coffee wasn’t great either. The fresh orange juice machine and pasticciotti saved it for me. One practical thing for the staff: water leaks from the accessible bathroom into the main room, so a rubber strip along the bottom of that door would help.

The buffet breakfast was good value, with plenty of local and international choices. The rooms were spacious, clean, and really quiet, and the staff were kind and helpful. A very good hotel out in the suburbs of Lecce.

It’s just outside town, but taxis make it easy to get to the historic district. A very nice hotel.

There’s no fitness center or laundry service, and it’s a long way from the city center. The Wi-Fi is only adequate when it works, which isn’t often. I wouldn’t use it for meetings.
