After the B&B we had booked let us down, Flavio and Carla got in touch right away when we booked through booking.com after 5pm on Sunday. They met us at the property about 30 minutes later and were both so kind, especially after what we'd just been through. We had a standard room, spacious and well equipped, with a seating area, large firm bed, room for an extra bed, wardrobe, fridge, TV, coffee maker, kettle, and a large modern bathroom. There's another similar standard room upstairs that might get a little more light. They'd left fresh water, local wine, snacks and sweets in the room, and toiletry sachets in the bathroom. Flavio and Carla had thought of so much. They were also very responsive through booking.com and WhatApp. The B&B is in an old historic building in the middle of the old town. There was occasional noise, but none late at night, and it was surprisingly quiet for such a central spot. If you're driving, there's a special deal with a car park near the Napoli Gate for 10 euros a day, which worked well for us. Breakfast came to the room: juice, coffee of your choice, fruit, delicious homemade savoury quiche, homemade cakes, and french toast with butter and jam. Flavio and Carla are natural hosts and kept checking that we were happy. We don't speak Italian, but they helped as much as they could with their limited English. We really recommend this atmospheric, central place. Thank you for being so kind, Flavio and Carla.

Carla and Flavio made the stay special. They treated us like beloved family and went out of their way to help. Carla is an amazing cook, and her pasticciottos were the absolute best. I looked forward to breakfast each morning, seeing her smile and eating her delicious food. Flavio arranged a nearby winery tour that was the best wine tour and tasting I've done so far. They were always ready with recommendations and knew where to point us for whatever we needed. The location was perfect, right in the historic district, less than 100 meters from wonderful restaurants and historic sites, yet on a quiet, peaceful street. The building keeps its charm while offering modern comforts. We stayed in October 2018, and I look forward to coming back.

The owners are fabulous and always available. They love their city, their land, and their work. On New Year's Day they offered us coffee and panettone and shared life experiences that young people like us really need to hear. Our rooms were beautiful, spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable, and fully equipped. The location is absolutely perfect: turn down the alley and you're at Piazza Sant'Oronzo. We had a great time, and hope to return as soon as possible. They deserve every compliment I can give.

Flavio took us on a special tour where we got an enchanting view of the nearby church. The owners welcomed us with real passion and clearly love their work and region. The house is beautiful, with a 7-meter-high vaulted ceiling in our room and authentic cocciopesto floors. Breakfast had lots of variety. Parking is just outside the historic center, followed by a pleasant short walk to the B&B. A stay here is definitely worth it. For me, experiencing a city also means finding its hidden corners, people, and flavors.
